Non-Classified Support Personnel Award

Summary/Objective:
Classified and non-classified support personnel are vital to the success
of the research and extension missions of the University of Arkansas,
Division of Agriculture. Individuals who have made outstanding
contributions to the Division of Agriculture will be honored with a
Division Non-classified Support Personnel Award developed for this
purpose. Nominations can include any individual in a non-classified
support position that supports the programmatic mission of the Division
and is not eligible for any existing classified employee, faculty, or
other Division award. Eligibility:
Any non-classified, full-time employee of the University
of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture who has served a minimum of five
years in the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station or Cooperative
Extension Service is eligible for the award.
Nomination Process:
Nomination: Any non-classified employee of the Division
can be nominated by any administrative unit within the Division of
Agriculture.
Length of Nomination: The nomination document is limited
to a maximum of three pages (single spaced), plus appended materials
(letters or supporting documents). Portions of the nomination document
beyond the first three pages will not be considered.
Deadline: Completed nomination documents must be
received in the office of the Associate Vice President for Agriculture
on or before Monday, January 16, 2006.
Nomination documents & Selection Criteria
The following items will be used as criteria for
evaluation and selection of the award recipient and should be included in
the nomination packet:
A brief biographical sketch of the nominee that details
employment history in the Division.
Evidence of contributions to their respective
administrative unit.
Evidence of contributions to Division of Agriculture
programmatic mission.
Evidence of personal growth and self improvement in
their assigned role.
Letters of support (maximum of three), including one
from a peer and one from a supervisor.
