Good Morning, Chapter Leadership and Committee Members

Winter of 2007 has been difficult in many regions of the country and forced the closing of many Universities and Extension offices.  Following a request from the North Central region, the Member Services Committee has agreed to an extention of the deadline for Recognition submissions for national consideration.   The new deadline for sending the Chapter Recognition CD to the National ESP Office for inclusion in the national and regional voting is March 12, 2007.   This is a one time extension.  Please share with the people who are preparing the submission from your chapter. 

The time line for distribution of the CD and voting will be as follows:

April 1 - Distribute the CD to the President of record for each Chapter

May 25 - Postmark deadline for casting the Chapter Ballot.  This is one week earlier than usual to allow recipients time to register for the National Conference under the Early Bird deadline.  (Only Mailed Ballots are accepted)

June 5 - Announce Recipients

June 15 - Early Bird Deadline for 2007 ESP Conference

If your chapter is able to submit your nominations prior to this deadline, please do so.  It will help the workload in the National ESP Office and help the time line for distribution of CDs.  Thanks for helping us be timely in our support of you and ESP by working within the deadlines.
